This week in Kindergarten...
We started this week by learning about the letter "H" and the sound it makes. In our visual journals we made hide and seek hippo houses out of the letter H. Inside we hid a hippo and two other things that begin with the letter H. We worked on labelling our pictures.
We also introduced the letter "U" and talked about the two sounds a U can make. We read the story Over and Under the Snow and talked about the different animals that live over and under the snow during the winter season. We continued working on problem solving using those winter animals and solved a math problem in our math journals using pictures and numbers.
We read the story Be Who You Are and It's Okay to Be Different by Todd Parr and worked on drawing self-portraits. We talked about adding detail to our pictures and making them look like our real selves! We can't wait for you to see them during conferences next week!
We a story about hibernating animals, drew pictures of animals that hibernate and labelled those pictures. Ask me about which animals hibernate.
