This week in Kindergarten....
We began this week learning about the letter "B" and the sound it makes. We read a story called Bubble Bear and brainstormed words that begin with the letter B. We also had a bubble surprise!
We started our learning about bears. We talked about fiction versus non-fiction books and how we can tell which type of book is which. We then did a guided scientific drawing of a bear and labelled different parts of the bear.
In math, we read the story Bear Snores On and used the animals in the story to begin our work in problem solving. We used whiteboards and unifix cubes to practice our problems together for a few days. We will work on problem solving in our math journals next week.
TUESDAYS are our library day. Please remember to send back library books by Tuesday each week. Thank-you! If your child has library books out that are overdue, they may not be able to take a new book.
